Books made into Movies

Beastly by Alex Flinn

This story is taken from the fairy tale Beauty and the Beast but is set in modern day Manhattan. I really loved the book and all the characters particularly the chat room conversations with other "monsters" and I am very intersted in seeing the movie with actor Alex Pettyfer which is coming out in March 2011!

Mockingjay

I just finished Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins and I finally can catch my breathe. From the very beginning, there were so many twists and turns, I felt like I was on a rollercoaster. Katniss, Gale and Peeta are quite a triangle in this story, more so than the other two. I definitely recommend Mockingjay but be sure to read the first two, The Hunger Games and Catching Fire. We will be discussing Mockingjay at the Teen Book Club on Sept 29, from 6 - 7 pm, at the Adriance Memorial Library. Hope to see you there!
